Our society’s reliance on and 24-hour access to social networking and media means that children are regularly exposed to mature content and sexual themes. This 2-part training will assist foster parents in understanding the pathways by which youth encounter sexual media online, as well as ways to supervise and monitor online activity.
- Part 1 (Tuesday, 10/6/2026 - 6:30-8pm) of the series will introduce foundational knowledge and research to educate parents about what kids today are doing online.
- Part 2 (Tuesday, 10/20/2026 - 6:30-8pm) will dive into "Now that we know, what can we do?" Parents will be provided with practical conversation starters, tips and resources for handling screen time conversations and participate in breakout small group activities.
