From Costumes to Confetti: Navigating Holiday Feelings & Behaviors
October 13 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
The holidays can bring joy and connection, but they can also be difficult for youth in care. Grief, stress, difficult memories, and unmet expectations may surface during a season filled with change. Disrupted routines, sensory overload, excitement, and late nights can also lead to challenging behaviors.
This training offers trauma-informed strategies to help caregivers support regulation and create a sense of safety and predictability. Caregivers will learn to pause and ask, “What is this behavior communicating?” and respond in ways that reduce escalation while building connection, belonging, and trust.
This training is available for CHS families only. You can register by going to SkyPrep at https://bit.ly/SkyPrepLogin.
