Childhood trauma can affect how young children think, feel, behave, learn, and connect with others. This training helps foster and adoptive parents understand how complex trauma can shape early development and influence a child’s attachment, behavior, and everyday functioning. Participants will learn practical, trauma-informed strategies to support healing, strengthen connection, and promote healthy development. Through the use of books, media, play, and everyday interactions, caregivers will explore simple ways to help children feel safe, build skills, and develop a stronger sense of trust and well-being.
This training is available for CHS families only. You can register by going to SkyPrep at https://bit.ly/SkyPrepLogin.
