Calendar Conversation Cards: Skills Workshop

Are you seeking to adopt or provide permanency for a youth from foster care? Adoption can raise lots of questions for children and teens, and leave them wondering “Who Am I?” Some of these questions get asked out loud, many do not. In this skills workshop, Children’s Home Society invites your family to experience the calendar in a whole new way. Utilizing the June-in-April Calendar Conversation Cards, your family will learn about a tool for more regular and intentional conversations about identity and family relationships, including differences of race and culture. Conversations are not a one-time event but an ongoing dialogue that evolves as your child grows. It’s about building a foundation of trust, understanding, and respect for your child’s unique identity and your family’s unique reality.
